Qualifications and training to support volunteering with Young Members

There are a number of training opportunities and qualifications on offer to volunteers over the age of 14.

The Young Leader Qualification and Leader development programme give members all the tools they need to fulfil their roles; the Going Away With qualification allows volunteers to take young members away on residential trips. Peer educators, aged 14 – 25, are trained to deliver sessions on topics that matter to girls today.

Without our many Leaders, guiding in Sussex East simply would not happen.  Being a Leader is one of our most rewarding roles.  You can work directly with girls, supporting them and helping them to grow into confident young people.

Qualifications to support volunteering with Adult Member

Trainers facilitate and deliver learning opportunities that give volunteers the motivation and confidence to provide good guiding for our girls. You’ll be a role model for other volunteers and help ensure excellence and consistency across our organisation.
